Fairway Mortgage Athletic Scholarship

In Memory of
Darryll “Jake” Jacobson & Robert “Ruby” Tarrant

In Living Memory of
Coach “Bruno” Hammond

This scholarship was founded in January 2000 in the memory of Darryll Jacobson, Robert Tarrant and Living Memory of Coach Bruce Hammond. As long time residents of Pardeeville, WI and supporters of high school athletics it is a fitting way for the employees of Fairway Mortgage to honor these men. The late Darryll Jacobson is the father of our president/owner Steven Jacobson and the late Robert Tarrant is the father of David Tarrant who is one of our managers in Arizona. Bruce Hammond is the father of Joel Hammond who is our regional manager of our first branch in the Fairway Branches. Coach Hammond was the head basketball coach at Pardeeville for 12 years. Career Record: 178-48.

Thanks to Steve for giving many of the Fairway employees a great opportunity to succeed in the mortgage business. We honor Jake, Ruby, and Bruno with this scholarship.

Jake and Ruby were fathers, husbands, mentors but more important our friends. They always took the time to shoot buckets, throw a ball to us, console us after a tough loss, praise us after a victory.

Athletics was a very important part of all of our lives at Pardeeville High School. The lessons of competition taught us many valuable lessons that we use at Fairway everyday in our business.
